Digital Pen

Pentaztic is a pen that writes in blue or black ink like any normal pen. What’s different is that it has a tiny built-in digital camera, a memory device and Bluetooth capabilities that records pen strokes, stores content and enables wireless transfer of data. It is an input device that converts any handwritten paper-based information into electronic data that can be modified, manipulated, or shared in leading applications you already use.  As you write, the digital pen scans your writing in conjunction with a digital pattern which is printed through a special process along with the visual information in your form.

Our digital pen determines whatever is written or drawn, and all these data is then stored in the pen’s memory until you upload it into a Microsoft Windows®-based computer through wired or wireless transfer via USB or Bluetooth.

Pattern Printed Paper Pentaztic features a pattern printed paper which the pen reads and remembers. Using a unique software process, forms are reproduced to match your existing forms. The dot pattern is printed on a regular paper, using a regular laser printer or printed in bulk by commercial printer. Customized forms accept handwriting, sketches, codes, control boxes as well as signature capture. The pattern is the one of the keys in making this technology work. The dots that appears rarely visible to the naked eye acts as coordinates that allows pen strokes to be recorded by the digital pen. Each unique pattern is highly engineered to improve accuracy in strokes recognition thus; its uniqueness takes care of the company’s confidential information written on the paper or form.

ICR

Intelligent character recognition (ICR) is the computer translation of manually entered text characters into machine-readable characters. Characters are entered in a rough printed form with the use of a digital pen, and strokes of the captured data entry is then analyzed and translated into the machine-readable characters.

Before ICR technology, form processing was performed by data entry operators who read and then manually keyed in data from paper forms into electronic forms on a computer, which were of the same format as the paper forms.

Data taken from paper forms included typewritten or computer-generated fonts, handwritten characters, check boxes and bubbles, bar code s, and signatures.
